Determine if the mat will be exposed to any chemicals. Choose a mat that is resistant to the specific chemicals it will encounter.
-
Identify the type of area the matting will be used in. For example, is it for an industrial setting, a kitchen, or a standing desk? Different areas may require different levels of durability and support.
-
Assess if the size of the mat will be restricted by objects in the workspace or if the user will need to move over a large area. Choose a mat that fits the available space and provides sufficient coverage for movement.
-
Determine if the mat will be used in a wet area. If so, consider if perforations are required to drain away moisture and prevent slipping hazards.
